Exploring the Dark Corners of Goa in 'KanKhajura'
Sony LIV is set to release its gripping thriller ‘KanKhajura’, a chilling narrative that unfolds in the quiet, shadowy landscapes of Goa. In this eerie setting, silence can be misleading, and the hidden dangers lurking beneath the surface are far more perilous than they appear.
This series is a Hindi adaptation of the Israeli show ‘Magpie’, reimagined to resonate with Indian audiences through its emotional depth. The plot centers around two estranged siblings who must face a past they have long tried to forget, where the distinction between memory and reality starts to fade. Roshan Mathew, portraying Ashu, shares his thoughts on what attracted him to this role. He expressed, “The emotional depth and the underlying stillness amidst the chaos captivated me about ‘KanKhajura’. Ashu is a complex character—vulnerable at times yet harboring an inner turmoil. Each relationship depicted in the series has its cracks, and it’s the characters' reactions to these imperfections that made this journey so intriguing to delve into.”
